Kitchen Cabinet Painting in Niagara Region

If your cabinet boxes are solid and the layout works, painting them is one of the most effective ways to change how a kitchen looks without the cost and weeks of disruption of new cabinetry. The catch is that cabinets take more abuse than any other painted surface in the house, so the process has to be right.

We remove and label the doors and drawer fronts, degrease every surface, scuff-sand, and apply a bonding primer suited to the existing finish. Doors are sprayed off-site or in a controlled area for a smooth, brush-free finish, and boxes are finished in place with the kitchen masked off. We use hard-curing cabinet-grade enamels rather than wall paint.

New hardware, soft-close hinges and painted islands or bathroom vanities can be added to the same job.

We provide kitchen cabinet painting across Niagara Region, including St. Catharines, Niagara Falls, Welland, Grimsby, Niagara-on-the-Lake and Fort Erie. Call (647) 797-9471 for a free estimate.

Kitchen Cabinet Painting questions

Kitchen Cabinet Painting FAQs

Common questions about kitchen cabinet painting.

How long does cabinet painting take?+
Most kitchens take about one to two weeks from removal to reinstallation, because primer and finish coats need proper drying and curing time between steps. You can usually keep using the kitchen in a limited way.
Can you paint oak or laminate cabinets?+
Oak paints well with a grain filler if you want a smooth look. Thermofoil and some laminates need a specialised bonding primer, and peeling thermofoil should be replaced rather than painted. We check yours at the estimate.
Will painted cabinets chip?+
Any painted surface can chip under a hard knock, but proper degreasing, sanding, bonding primer and a cabinet-grade enamel give a durable finish. We leave touch-up paint for small repairs.
Is painting cheaper than replacing cabinets?+
Painting is typically a fraction of the cost of new cabinets because the boxes, doors and countertops stay in place. We provide a written quote so you can compare.
Do you paint bathroom vanities too?+
Yes. Vanities, built-ins and laundry room cabinets can be included in the same job.
