Trim, Door & Baseboard Painting in Niagara Region

Trim is where a paint job is judged. Crisp lines, smooth enamel and tight caulked joints make a room look finished, while drips, brush marks and open gaps make even fresh walls look tired.

We clean, sand and fill baseboards, casings, crown moulding, wainscoting, stair railings, spindles and interior doors, caulk the joints, and prime where needed. If your trim has old oil-based paint, we use a bonding primer so the new finish does not peel. Finish coats are hard-wearing enamels in satin or semi-gloss.

Updating stained wood trim to painted white is one of the most common requests we get, and one of the biggest visual changes in a house.

We provide trim and door painting across Niagara Region, including St. Catharines, Niagara Falls, Welland, Grimsby, Niagara-on-the-Lake and Fort Erie. Call (647) 797-9471 for a free estimate.

Trim, Door & Baseboard Painting questions

Trim, Door & Baseboard Painting FAQs

Common questions about trim, door & baseboard painting.

Can you paint stained wood trim white?+
Yes. We clean, scuff-sand, prime with a stain-blocking bonding primer to stop tannins bleeding through, then apply enamel finish coats.
My trim has oil paint. Can you paint over it with latex?+
Yes, with proper sanding and a bonding primer. Painting latex directly over oil without prep usually leads to peeling.
Do you paint doors on site?+
Usually yes. Doors can also be removed and sprayed for a smoother finish if you prefer.
What sheen is best for trim?+
Satin or semi-gloss. Both are durable and easy to clean; semi-gloss is shinier and shows more imperfections.
How long before I can bump the trim?+
Enamel is dry to the touch within hours but takes longer to fully harden, so treat it gently for the first couple of weeks.
